Terms of Service

Last updated: November 2, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and SOONSOON SOFTWARE LTD. (“SoonSoon”, “we”, “us”), a British Columbia company, for use of soonsoon.ca and our apps, including MindAtom and Bistory (the “Services”). By using the Services, you agree to these terms.

1. Using the Services

You may use the Services for personal or internal business purposes. You must not misuse them, for example by breaking the law, interfering with other users, attempting unauthorized access, or reverse engineering the Services except where the law allows.

2. Accounts

Some features need an account. Keep your sign-in details safe and tell us about any unauthorized use. You are responsible for activity under your account.

3. Your content

You own the content you create. You give us a limited licence to store, process and display it only as needed to provide the Services to you and to the people you choose to share it with. You are responsible for having the rights to content you upload or share.

4. Our content

The Services, including software, design and our original translations, annotations and narration, belong to SoonSoon or our licensors. Public-domain source texts remain in the public domain. Availability of a work may depend on copyright rules in your country.

5. Purchases, subscriptions and refunds

Prices are shown before purchase. Purchases in the App Store, Google Play or Microsoft Store are governed by that store’s terms and refund policy; please request refunds through the store. Purchases on our website are sold by our reseller and Merchant of Record (such as Paddle or Lemon Squeezy), which handles payment, invoicing, sales tax and refunds on our behalf, and its buyer terms also apply.

For direct purchases, you may request a full refund within 14 days of your first purchase or renewal by contacting us or the reseller. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time, and access continues until the end of the paid period. Nothing in these terms limits any refund rights you have under applicable consumer law.

6. Changes and availability

We may change, add or remove features. We try to keep the Services available but do not promise they will be uninterrupted or error-free. Please keep your own backups of important work.

7. Termination

You may stop using the Services at any time. We may suspend or end access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. Sections that by their nature should survive will survive.

8. Disclaimer

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. AI-generated translations and narration may contain errors.

9. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, SoonSoon is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost data or profits. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the Service in the 12 months before the claim, or CAD $50 if greater.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, unless your local consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim where you live.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post the new version here with a new date, and give notice of significant changes. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept them.
